# Tabs

`Ctrl + T` opens a tab. `Ctrl + W` closes the current tab. Each tab has its own folder, history, and selection.

The folder screenshot in [Navigating folders](Navigating.md) shows the tab strip above the list.

A new window is `Ctrl + N`, not a new tab.
